Head Internal Audit (Managerial Level)

The Head of Internal Audit shall be accountable for following major job responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive annual risk based internal audit procedures and plans upon approval from Audit Committee and perform audit functions in accordance with such plans.
• Develop effective strategy for Internal Audit function of the Bank and carry out leadership role for the Internal Audit Department. Lead, inspire and coach team members and line-staff to achieve their audit targets while supporting their professional and personal development.
• Coordinate with concerned department in preparation of policy papers for effective control, good governance and effective risk management.
• Recommend improvements to internal controls, operating efficiency and the adequacy of accounting policies, procedures, records and record-keeping.
• Embrace the perspective of a modern banking organization, in particular the risk, control and compliance considerations and their materiality.
• Maintain a comprehensive oversight of the main areas of risk and control weaknesses in the Bank’s business model and operational infrastructure.
• Assist, and liaise with, the Audit Committee in the fulfillment of its duties and responsibilities
• Advise Management and the Audit Committee on audit and internal control matters.

Minimum Qualification/Requirement:

• Chartered Accountant from recognized Institution with at least five years of work experience In ‘A’ class Bank in Internal Audit Department and should be currently working in at least Assistant Manager Level. OR
• Chartered Accountant from recognized Institution with at least five years of work experience in reputed Audit Firm after completion of CA and should be currently working as a Team Manager.
